LVMH, also known as Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, was founded in Paris, France in 1987 through the merger of Louis Vuitton and Moët Hennessy, which itself was founded in 1971 from the merger of Moët & Chandon and Hennessy Cognac. It is one of the largest luxury conglomerates in the world, and has a number of wine and champagne brands in its portfolio.
