To-Kalon Vineyard Company was introduced by Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville, California in 1988. In 1993,Robert Mondavi Winery went public, and eventually grew to a market cap of $750 million. In 2004, the company was purchased by Constellation Brands for $1.03 billion in cash and $325 million in assumed debt.
