What does CONSTELLATION BRANDS Own?

Constellation Brands was founded in Canandaigua, New York in 1945 by Marvin Sands. It was originally known as Canandaigua Industries, and mostly focused on selling bulk wine. In 1973, the company went public, and began to expand rapidly. It purchased the Manischewitz brand in 1987, which was followed by dozens of other purchases over the following two decades. In 2000, the company changed its name to Constellation Brands to reflect its less regional approach. The company also shifted into beer in 2013, when it purchased the rights to sell the Grupo Modelo portfolio in the United States as Anheuser-Busch InBev was purchasing the company.
