Carmenet Winery was founded in Lodi, California in 1983 by Chalone Wine Group. In 2002, Chalone sold the Carmenet brand to Beringer Blass Wine Company, based out of Australia. That company’s name was changed to Foster’s Wine in 2005, and in 2006 they sold the brand to Bronco Wine Company.
