Saldo Wine was introduced in Napa, California in 2007 by Orin Swift Cellars, owned by Dave Phinney. In 2010, he sold the brand to Huneeus Vintners, along with The Prisoner Wine Company, which held them both until 2016 when they sold them to Constellation Brands, along with three other brands. That deal was valued at $285 million.
