Seghesio Family Vineyards was founded by the Seghesio family in Sonoma, California in 1983, though they had been growing grapes for other wineries since 1895. In 2011, the brand was purchased by Crimson Wine Group, which at the time was owned by investment group Leucadia National Corp. In 2013, Crimson was spun off as a separate publicly traded company.
