Napa Wine Company was founded in Oakville, California in 1940 by Louis Stralla. He sold the company to John Cella in 1947, who again sold it to United Vintners in 1961. In 1981, United Vintners sold it to Heublein, Inc. In 1993, the company was purchased by Babe Pelissa and her daughters Dawne Pelissa Dickenson and Marily Pelissa Harris and grandchildren Andrew and David Hoxsey and Jennifer Harris Jakoby.
