St. Hallet Winery was founded in Tanunda, South Australia in 1944 by the Lindner family. In 2008, the company merged with Tatachilla Winery to form Banksia wine, and listed themselves on the Australian Stock Exchange. However, Lion Nathan quickly purchased the company that same year, and held both brands until 2016, when it was sold to Accolade Wine. At the time, Accolade was owned by CHAMP private equity, however two years later they sold Accolade to The Carlyle Group.
