Bouchard Père et Fils Wine was introduced in Beaune, France in 1746 by Joseph Bouchard and his father Michel. The company begain 15 years earlier as a cloth merchant before the younger Bouchard began acquiring vineyards. The company was owned by the Bouchard family until 1995, when it was sold to Champagne Henriot. That company then was acquired by Artemis Group in 2022.
