Da Luca Wine was introduced in 2004 in Paardvelei, South Africa by Western Wines. That same year, the brand was purchased by Constellation Brands and placed in its Hardy Wines division. They later sold an 80% stake in the company to CHAMP Private Equity, which renamed the business to Accolade Wines. In 2018, Accolade was sold to the American private equity company The Carlyle Group.
