Yarra Burn Winery was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1975 by David and Christine Fyffe. In 1995, the brand was purchased by BRL Hardy Limited. In 2003, Hardy merged with Constellation Brands Australia to become The Hardy Wine Company, which was a division of Constellation’s larger company. They later sold an 80% stake in the company to CHAMP Private Equity, which renamed the business to Accolade Wines. In 2018, Accolade was sold to the American private equity company The Carlyle Group.
