Argiano Wine was founded in Montalcino, Italy in 1580 by Giovanni Pecci, the son of a noble Italian family. The winery passed through several aristocratic families throughout the centuries, and in 1992 was purchased by Noemi Marone Cinzano. She sold it in 2012 to Brazilian entrepreneur Andrè Santos Esteves. In the United States, the wine is distributed by Gallo.
