Viansa Winery was founded in Sonoma, California in 1989 by Sam and Vicki Sebastiani. In 2004, they transferred ownership to their seven children, who sold the winery to 360 Global Wine Company the following year for $31 million. That company went bankrupt in 2007, and the brand was purchased by Laurus Master Fund for $40.5 million at auction. In 2013, they sold it to Vintage Wine Estates, which held the company until they went bankrupt in 2024. At that point, the brand was purchased at auction by Adair Family Wines.
