Dashwood Wine was introduced in Blenheim, New Zealand in 1989 by Vavasour Winery, which was founded three years prior by Peter and Anna Vavasour. In 2002, the company was purchased by The New Zealand Wine Fund, a holding company chaired by David Belcher. That company’s brands were later purchased by Foley Family Wines in 2009.
