Clifford Bay Winery was founded in Blenheim, New Zealand in 1994 by Eric and Beverly Bowers. In 2007, they sold the winery to The New Zealand Wine Fund, a holding company chaired by David Belcher. Two years later, the fund sold the brand to Foley Family Wines.
